This
baby Western Screech-Owl had just fledged in Trabuco Canyon, California
(June 2005)... I know this because I saw him the night before in his
nest hole but didn’t have a camera. What a great find! I walked right
up to him where he was sitting on a branch about 4 feet off the ground.
