Chiapas, Mexico 2001 This is a baby and an adult female rufous phase Bearded Screech-Owl. These owls were photographed by Jose Luis Rangel-Salazar at the Huitepec Biological Reserve. This small owlet was sick with parasites and it wasn't known if it survived. |
