We saw several Colima Pygmy-Owls along Panuco Road off the Durango Highway. This was one of a pair of owls that came up very close to see us and was not overly pleased that we were in its territory... although it didn't seem overly alarmed by us being so close (maybe 15 ft away). Very small owl this is, smaller than the Northern Pygmy-Owl in North America. |
