| California Sierras Yosemite area May 2009 This was the male Great Gray Owl Owl of a pair of owls that flew right in to find out who or what was "squeeking" in their meadow (it was me). He was a really bold owl and sat and watched us while the female sat a bit further away. I walked up to within about 15 or 20 feet away from this owl and took several pictures before we left with him still sitting on the same branch. It is really a fantastic experience to walk right up to such a big, beautiful owl. |
