near Yosemite

This
Northern Pygmy-Owl was very bold allowing a close "photo
approach" (~10ft away at eye level). This was in the California
Sierras, near Yosemite, at about 4500 ft elevation (notice the snow on
the branch... it was about 20 Deg. F).
