This young Spotted Owl was in Miller Canyon, Arizona in August of 2012. When I spotted him, he was asleep and hidden in a clump of dry branches of a tree along a hillside. For a little better view and maybe a picture of him, I quietly crawled up the hill, on my belly, to get closer to the tree he was in. He, of course, woke right up and then just scooched out onto the open branch to check me out. That also worked out just fine for me to get this picture of him. |
