This Barn Owl was found
in the area outside Paso Robles, California. This is primarily an
agricultural area and many of the vineyards of the area have Barn
Owl boxes in the fields. The owls help to control the rodents so it
is a common practice for the grape growers to put up the nesting boxes.
This is a common practice in the central valley in California so both
farmer and the owls benefit.
